Trash To Treasure
18 international artists come together to create a series of installations. Combining creative reuse with music, 3D design and scanning, plastic recycling and electronic repair, they explore unexpected ways of transforming waste into something new.
What happens when you stop looking at waste as something to throw away, and start seeing it as material for new ideas? Trash To Treasure explores the creative possibilities of reuse, repair and digital fabrication. Bringing together art, technology and sustainability, the project looks at how discarded materials can find a second life through creative experimentation. For Mutation, 18 international artists come together to create a series of installations. Combining creative reuse with music, 3D design and scanning, plastic recycling and electronic repair, they explore unexpected ways of transforming waste into something new. Working with discarded materials from De FietsAmbassade and De Creatieve STEM, they turn leftovers and forgotten objects into new forms, sounds and experiences. The project also gives a voice to the people shaping these practices. Through a series of podcasts, artists, designers and professionals share their experiences across four themes: 3D technologies, artistic transformations, recycling & reuse, and electronic repair. They explore new ways of working with materials, the skills behind green jobs and the opportunities of a more circular creative industry. Together, the installations and podcasts offer a glimpse into a world where waste becomes a starting point for creativity, learning and new possibilities. A collaboration of Ayamola (Spain), DigiJeunes (France), De Creatieve STEM (Belgium) & Cogito (Italy)
