Playful MathMusic
What does a shape sound like? And can fractions help you write a tune? Discover how music and maths fit together!
These interdisciplinary activities bridge music and mathematics through creative, inclusive learning. Participants engage through visual geometry, assigning beat values to shapes to build predetermined measured modules. Learners compose original melodies using fraction calculations to determine note values before playing them on instruments. We're going to explore Bach’s compositions by color-coding thematic variations—such as augmentation and inversion—based on a structured guide. The activities ensure full accessibility by combining body percussion, rainsticks, color markers, and drawing activities tailored for diverse learning styles.
