Hermaak Expo (+ Hermaak Lab)

HERMAAK presents a diverse selection of objects, furniture and installations made from reused or discarded materials. The exhibition shows different approaches to circular design and invites visitors to rethink what we consider waste. The expo is complemented by the HERMAAK LAB, where young people explore local material streams and create part of the festival scenography.

HERMAAK is a platform and festival exploring how design, art and making can contribute to a more circular future. The project brings together designers, makers, artists, organisations and local communities around the reuse of materials, objects and existing resources. Through exhibitions, workshops, talks and collaborative projects, HERMAAK creates a space for experimentation and exchange, with a particular focus on local material flows, craftsmanship and alternative ways of producing and consuming.
