Wave art with sustainable and biodegradable 3D materials
Ocean science related wave sculptures with AllPHA, sands and pigment powders.
Under (Re)Make, nove challenges traditional manufacturing through sustainable material innovation. Instead of standard plastics, physical wave sculptures are 3D-printed using AllPHA, a 100% biodegradable polymer produced by bacteria that leaves no microplastics behind. By combining this zero-waste material with natural finishes like clay paint, cellulose, and pigment powders and avoiding chemical paints or glues, the work questions how we can eliminate waste and toxins in prototyping and creating art. Nove uses wave art sculptures as a medium to advance ocean literacy amongst the general public.
