Artists Jaron and Ida take you on a journey through their project ‘More Coots, Less Waste’, which is set against the backdrop of Ghent’s inland waterways. In this project, they explore what it means for humans to work together with coots, and touch upon broader questions about living together in the city. Through the construction of nesting platforms, the architectural ingenuity of coots and the sharing of stories, the project highlights how our handling of waste affects the world of other species. During a short presentation with visual material, you will discover how the platforms came about, what collaborations preceded them, and what this project teaches us about living together in the city – as well as how the artists are putting these ideas into practice.
